The Ritscher summit is a 2790 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises 11 km west-southwest of the Mentzelberg in the Otto von Gruber mountains of the Wohlthat massif .
It was discovered, mapped and named during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 . It is named after Alfred Ritscher (1879–1963), head of this research trip. On December 17, 1991 the summit was climbed for the first time by Gerold Noack , professor at the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg , and Wieland Adler.
