Zimmer is a parish village and a district in the Lower Bavarian market Tann .
Geographical location
The village of Zimmer is about 3.5 km northeast of Markt Tann on the district roads PAN 52 and PAN 15. The distance to the next towns Simbach am Inn / Braunau (Upper Austria) is 13 km and to the district town of Pfarrkirchen about 10 km. The parish church of Sankt Michael and the former parsonage with utility buildings are characteristic of the site.
history
The old secular parish of Cymmern was handed over to the Teutonic Order on July 20, 1316 by Count Heinrich von Leonberg , who exercised the patronage until 1809. The stately baroque parish courtyard was built between 1725 and 1728 with the support of Max Emanuel von Bayern . The first schoolhouse was built in 1811, it was also a sacristan's house. In 1813 the school teacher Dempel zuzimmer was mentioned in a document. In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the Tann market on January 1, 1972.
Associations and public life
One of the four volunteer fire brigades of the municipality of Tann with a tradition going back over 100 years is in rooms . It is equipped with a relatively new fire station. Other active associations are warrior and soldier comradeship, the cath. Rural youth and cath. Women's association as well as a stick shooting club and a tennis club. There was also a discotheque in rooms, which was known beyond the district.
