Ziyaret ( Kurdish Fîs ) is a village in the Lice district of the Turkish province of Diyarbakır . Ziyaret is located about 69 km northeast of the provincial capital Diyarbakır and 22 km southwest of Lice. According to the last census, Ziyaret had 381 inhabitants (as of December 2009).
On November 27, 1978, the Kurdish underground organization PKK was formally but secretly founded here. As a result of the Turkey-PKK conflict , many people left the village and settled in Diyarbakır and other major Turkish cities.
