Zoran Miloševic (born August 5, 1967 in Živinice ) is a Bosnian football coach and former player who currently trains the national league club SV Bad Bentheim . In his almost three decades-long playing career, after his move from VfL Herzlake , he found himself at home with the upper division club Eintracht Nordhorn , where he became a record player and crowd favorite in 13 years. The midfield strategist made 408 games for Eintracht from Nordhorn by the end of his career in the summer of 2011.

Career start at home and flight to France

Miloševic played in his childhood first for NK Omladinac Mionica before he moved to FK Budućnost Banovići as a teenager . There he was soon discovered by the Bosnian first division club FK Sloboda Tuzla and taken under contract. At the age of 18, he played his first professional games in what was then the 1st Yugoslav league. The club's greatest success at this time was the autumn championship in 1989. After a chaotic second half of the season, Sloboda could not hold onto the top. He remained loyal to Tuzla until 1992 when he left the club to escape the civil war and moved to the French second division club SC Amiens .

Stations in Germany

Around 95 he moved to Germany with his son and joined VfL Herzlake , which was still playing in the regional league at the time. After the club got into financial difficulties and could no longer keep the class in terms of sport, Miloševic moved to Eintracht Nordhorn to continue playing in the regional league. He felt at home there and remained loyal to the club even after relegation in 2000. In the following years, Miloševic became one of the most important players and a crowd favorite.

Despite being 37 years old, he was looking for a new challenge at SV Meppen for a short time. His half-year contract was not renewed and so he switched back to Eintracht Nordhorn during the winter break of the 2007/2008 season, where he was a regular again. Also in his last three seasons, Miloševic appeared in at least 30 games for Eintracht Nordhorn. Because he was almost never injured, even when he was over forty. In Zoran's last season he broke two club records; he overtook Carsten Minich , who was their record player with 394 appearances for Eintracht. At the same time, at 43 years of age, he is the oldest player who played 90 minutes in the history of the club.

Coaching career

On October 6, 2011, Miloševic took over from the dismissed Hartmut Johanninck at the national league club SV Bad Bentheim . He signed a contract until June 30, 2013. In addition, Zoran is also supposed to help out on the pitch as a player-coach in order to avert relegation. He took over the team in last place and has already led them to 14th place.

Playing style and special

Miloševic was characterized by a great understanding of the game and safe passes, as well as a strong duel presence. The defensive midfielder designed and shaped the game of the Nordhorns.

His fitness and robustness are also looking for examples in higher leagues. He was injured only once for several weeks in 13 years at Eintracht Nordhorn. And by then he was already 42 years old.

He is also the only Eintracht Nordhorn player who played a league game with his son. That was in the 2010/2011 season when his 19-year-old son Vanja came on several times in the last quarter of an hour.
