Zsolt Heffler (born January 20, 1967 ) is a German ice hockey referee and former ice hockey player of Hungarian descent.

Career

The defender was a Hungarian U-20 international and moved to Germany in the late 1980s . In the 1987/88 season he first played for EV Stuttgart in the 2nd Bundesliga South and moved to Dinslakener EC in the Oberliga Nord during the season. After two unsuccessful attempts, Heffler made it to the 2nd Bundesliga North with his team in the 1989/90 season. However, Heffler switched to the Schalker Haien , which had just been promoted to the Oberliga Nord.

After he played for one year each for the northern upper division ESC Wedemark and Herford EG , he moved to ERC Westfalen Dortmund in 1993 , for which he played for two years. In the 1994/95 season, Heffler won the 1st League North with the ERC Westphalia. In the 1995/96 season Heffler played for EV Duisburg in the 1st League North and in the 1996/97 season for EV Duisburg . He then ended his playing career.

Zsolt Heffler became a referee and led games in the 2nd Bundesliga and the German Junior League .
