The Sugar Loaf is a 2525 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises 3 km southeast of the Ritscher summit in the Otto von Gruber mountains of the Wohlthat massif .
It was discovered and descriptively named after its shape during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher .
