Zuzana Storchová

Zuzana Storchová (born December 6, 1970 ) is a Czech biologist and professor at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern .

life and career

From 1989 to 1994 she studied biology at Charles University in Prague. After graduating in 1994, she worked at the Faculty of Genetics at this university until 1999. Other scientific activities: 1999-2001 as a Research Associate at the Institute for Medical Radiobiology of the University of Zurich between 2001 and 2007 as a postdoctoral fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston , and from 2008 to 2016 when Max Planck Research Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried .

Since 2016 Storchová has been Professor of Molecular Genetics in the Department of Biology at the TU Kaiserslautern and Head of the Department of Molecular Genetics. Her main areas of work are research into the instability of chromosomes and the disorders of DNA replication . She is a member of the research group FOR2800: Chromosome Instability: Cross-talk of DNA replication stress and mitotic dysfunction ( Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft ).
