Zvonimir Lovrić

Zvonimir Lovrić (born March 16, 1954 in Osijek , Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian surgeon and traumatologist , chairman of the surgical department in the Dubrava hospital center in Zagreb and professor at the University of Zagreb Medical School .

Life

Lovrić attended high school in Osijek and graduated in 1979 from the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb . In 1994 he received his PhD and in 2004 he specialized in traumatology. He was Professor of Military Medicine at Osijek University , Visiting Professor at UCLA School of Medicine and Emory University in 1997. In 1996 he became a member of the New York Academy of Sciences . Lovrić was a war surgeon in Osijek and a war surgeon for the special forces of the Croatian police in the Croatian war . He was a lecturer at the National Naval Medical Center in the United States . Lovrić wrote more than thirty scientific works .

Lovrić received the Order of the Croatian Morning Star with the image of Katarina Zrinska from President Franjo Tuđman .

He is married to the anesthetist Ljiljana Lovrić, and both have three children.
