Zweidlen is a village and former (until 1917) civil parish in the Zürcher Unterland . It belongs to the political community of Glattfelden and borders Weiach in the west . The rural village lies away from the traffic axes in a valley that opens to the east.
The Zweidlen train station on the Koblenz - Winterthur line is on the level near the Rheinsfelden settlement . Weiacher Kies AG's gravel transport and excavation vehicles have their home station in Zweidlen. In addition to the transport connection via the train station, which was reopened for passenger traffic in 1995 after violent protests, a bus operated by the municipality of Glattfelden (route 540 of the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund ) also goes to Zweidlen.
