The Zwieselberg is a 2970 m high and highly fragmented mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises as the northern section of the Pieck ridge in the Petermann chain of the Wohlthat massif .
It was discovered and descriptively named after its forked shape during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher .
