Season balance sheets of 1. FC Union Berlin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The season balance sheets of 1. FC Union Berlin show the ranking, goal difference and number of points scored in the league for each season of the first soccer team of 1. FC Union Berlin and its predecessor clubs. In addition, the performance in regional and national cup competitions as well as in some cases the best goalscorer and the average attendance of the respective season are named.

Therefore the name history is listed separately. For the seasonal balance sheets of SC Union 06 Berlin , which was split off in 1950 , see there .

  3. The cup competition was canceled due to the events of June 17, 1953 and continued in the following season.
  4. No cup competition was held during the transition period.

  1. The second division license was subsequently withdrawn from the Unionern who had already qualified for the 2nd Bundesliga. The second of the relegation tennis Borussia Berlin took Union place in the 2nd Bundesliga.
  2. The club was denied the second division license during the season. Therefore, the runner-up Energie Cottbus was allowed to take part in the promotion round, while Union represented Cottbus in the German amateur championship .
  3. Union was the first of the Northeast regional league to play against the first of the North VfL Osnabrück in a decision-making round for promotion. After a 1-1 draw in Berlin, Osnabrück prevailed with an 8: 7 on penalties (after extra time it was also 1: 1). Union then went on in a second decision-making round against the respective second of the seasons West / Southwest and South - LR Ahlen and SC Pfullendorf .
  4. Union played in the relegation against VfB Stuttgart (first leg in Stuttgart 2: 2, second leg in Berlin 0: 0) and rose due to the away goals rule .
