Hello, my name is w_tanoto. Welcome to my user page in Wikipedia.
I am currently live in UK. My nationality is Indonesian, born in Magelang, Indonesia. I used to be a Singaporean PR holder, but revoked due to my unwillingness to join their Military Service.
I have contributed to Wikipedia in English, French (although unfortunately I don't use my username when I edited the French wikipedia) and Indonesian.
I am a Roman Catholic, and went to school (until junior-high school), in a Catholic school in Jakarta. Currently I am studying in UK, since 2002. I went back to Jakarta thrice each year. The next one will be on 29 May 2007 to September/October 2007.
My Interests
This is about my interests or things that I support:
PlayStation 3. I am officially owner of NTSC-J Japanese 60GB PlayStation 3 since 18 December 2006, 3AM GMT or 10AM GMT+7.
Walt Disney. I'm stuck with it forever all my life through eternity (it's been almost 20 years with Disney). I love you forever, Walt Disney!!!
French Language. Yes, I'm addicted to it. Learned it since 2002.
Anything technology-related. I'm addicted to technology
Biology. Subject I am currently studying. I love to see human organs, operations (i.e Amputation) processes, although it is a bit disgusting.
Japanese-related. I started to became addicted with everything Japanese some time ago. This includes Japanese language, although my level is still beginner.
Sony. My favourite brand of anything electronic, except computer.
Blu-Ray. It's supported by Walt Disney, Hewlett-Packard, Sony and its PlayStation 3. Therefore I give the format big support. Shame that Microsoft and Toshiba (another of my favourite brands) do not support it.
NTSC-J. I support this format. My PlayStations (2 and 3) are all in this format. I don't care about NTSC-U/C
PAL. I support this format as I live in PAL region (UK and Indonesia). Indonesia use NTSC-J for gaming.
My native languages are Indonesian and Javanese, which I learned since I was born, although I can't read and write Javanese very well, I am nevertheless its native speaker (I am okay writing and reading Javanese in its romanised version). I started to learn English at 8 years old. My accent was American, until it was transformed to British when I went to school in UK. However, for all my life, I write in British way (colour, not color). My next languages are French (with French accent), which I took since 2002, and Italian, since 2004. I have very basic knowledge in Spanish, and Japanese. I started Chinese-Mandarin lesson on February 2007
