David Terrell (born March 13, 1979 in Richmond, Virginia) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He was selected as the eighth pick in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears out of the University of Michigan where he was a teammates with the talented backfield of Drew Henson, and Anthony Thomas, and Super Bowl winning quarterback Tom Brady.
High school career
David Terrell attended Huguenot High School in Richmond, Virginia and was a two sport star in both football and basketball. In basketball, he was a four year letterman and an All-District selection. As a senior, he averaged 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.
Pro career
Terrell was originally drafted by the Chicago Bears with the eighth overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. Through his years, he was wildly inconsistent, showing flashes of brilliance. He was later cut by the Bears, and he attempted to comeback with both the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos. After signing a one year contract with the Denver Broncos on April 12th, 2007, Terrell was cut by the team on August 27, 2007, once again putting in jeopardy his once promising career. [1]
