He was accused with recklessness for his sending young women to live in the isolated hamlets of the countryside. The Blessed Jean-Martin Moye (written later in his life as Moyë)[1] (27 January 1730, in , Lorraine – 4 May 1793, in Trier) was a French Catholic priest who was served as a missionary in China and was the founder of the Sisters of the Congregation of Divine Providence. He was beatified by the Catholic Church in 1954.

Early life
