College Road Trip is an upcoming film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie will star Raven-Symoné as Rachel Porter, a college bound teen and Martin Lawrence as her police officer father James who goes on a road trip to different colleges.
Production
Cinco Paul and partner Ken Daurio wrote the most recent draft. The movie was born out of the Disney Writers Program by Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki.[1]
The movie will be produced by Andrew Gunn/Gunn Films and directed by Roger Kumble. The film started shooting in July and found a March 2008 realese date.[2][3] The film started shooting July 8 in Connecticut, filming on the campus of Choate Rosemary Hall on July 30. Scenes were also filmed at Roger Ludlowe Middle School in Fairfield, Connecticut, and on the campus of the Taft School during the summer. Taft is reportedly substituting for Georgetown because of the dominance of red brick in the school's architecture. Another night scene was filmed at a Queen Anne style home in the neighborhood of Glenbrook in Stamford, Connecticut.
The first trailer appeared alongside Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and the Disney Movie Enchanted.
