Miss Universe Thailand
The Miss Thailand Universe is a beauty pageant that has been held every year since 2000, with winners competing in the Miss Universe, Miss Earth, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Asia Pacific International, Miss Tourism International and Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International pageants. Miss Thailand Universe is not related to the previous Miss Thailand or Miss Thailand World.
The reigning Miss Thailand Universe is Farung Yuthithum, who was crowned on March 24, 2007, in Bangkok by Zuleyka Rivera, Miss Universe 2006 from Puerto Rico.
History
In 2000, Bangkok Broadcasting & T.V. Co., Ltd. (BBTV Channel 7) was awarded the rights to host the Miss Thailand Universe pageant and to send a Thai representative to compete at Miss Universe. This came after the Miss Thailand Organization lost its license from the Miss Universe Organization. Kulthida Yenprasert was crowned the first Miss Thailand Universe in March 2000.
The pageant is televised by the broadcaster Ch7 Thailand.
Performance at Miss Universe
In Miss Universe 2005 Pageant at Bangkok, Thailand, Chananporn Rosjan won the Best National Costume award. She is the first Miss Thailand Universe that received this award.
In Miss Universe Pageant 2006 at Los Angeles, Charm Onwarin Osathanond was placed in the Top 20. She was the first Thailand's semi-finalist in 18 years after Porntip Nakhirunkanok have done in 1988. Osthanond also the first Miss Thailand Universe who got a placement at Miss Universe Pageant.
Last year, in Miss Universe 2007 at Mexico City, Farung Yuthithum got the place in the Top 15, and make Thailand was placed in the Semi-finalist two years in a row.

Runner-up at Beauty Contest
- 1st Runner-up Miss Thailand Universe will be the representative at Miss Earth
In 2004, Radchadawan Khampeng participated in Miss Earth 2004. She was placed in the Top 8, which kake herself become the first Thailand's representative who got the placement at Miss Earth Pageant.
Three years later, Jiraporn Sing-ieam got the place in the Top 8. She also won the Best National Costume award. Sing-ieam is the first Thailand's representative that received this award.
