Too many

Looking to the future, there are too many species (>500) to list on the Family page. Would there be any objection if I made a start on creating Genus pages, which would be more appropriate places to list species, & then remove the species list from this article? I agree there are two many wasses to list all the species on one page, but I much prefer the vertical bulleted list, with indentation to show levels of classification as seen on Lethrinidae. How do you feel about changing the format of the list.
