Untitled

Thr33 Ringz[2] is the third studio album from T-Pain. It is set to release on November 11, 2008.

Concept

T-Pain has described the album's theme by comparing the music industry to a circus. He has extended this concept with his album and single covers, tailored to resemble carnival flyers, as well as with his music videos and style of dress. Most significantly, at the 2008 Bet Awards, where he wore a flamboyant, silver and black, designer circus-ringleader outfit with a matching top hat and the MTV 2008 Video Music Awards, where he won #1 Best Entrance by arriving on an elephant.

History

The album was originally set to be released on September 30, the same day as his birthday, but it was changed because of controversy towards Silver & Gold.[3] However, the album as well as its deluxe edition is now set to be released on November 11, 2008[1][4] It will be entirely produced by himself. The song "Can't Believe It" is the first single and was confirmed by T-Pain's blog. Originally "Snap Yo Fingers" also featuring Lil' Wayne was set to be the first single.[2] The second single is "Chopped & Skrewed" featuring Ludacris. The third single is "Freeze" featuring Chris Brown.[5] He had performed two other songs from his album, he performed "Badside" at the Indig02 Arena in London and he performed "Ringleader Man" at the 2008 BET Awards. Guest appearances include Aaron Ellis, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Jay Lyriq, Akon, Diddy, Mary J Blige, Chris Brown, Ludacris, DJ Khaled, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Ciara, Raheem DeVaughn, Rick Ross[6] and Rihanna.[5]

Singles

The first single is "Can't Believe It" featuring rapper Lil Wayne. The second single is "Chopped & Skrewed" featuring Ludacris. The third single is "Freeze" featuring singer Chris Brown.

"Can't Believe It", released July 29, 2008[7], debuted at #11 on the US iTunes chart upon its release. It was #1 on iTunes hip-hop charts for a few weeks and debuted at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has thus far peaked at #7.

Videos for the other two singles, "Chopped & Skrewed" featuring Ludacris and "Freeze" featuring Chris Brown, have been made and are both directed by Syndrome.

A mixtape has been released as a prequel to the album called Pr33 Ringz from which unofficial single 'Superman' was released.[6]

The song "Ringleader Man" which T-Pain performed at the 2008 BET Awards will be released, but not as a single, on October 28 as part of the "iTunes Countdown to Thr33 Ringz".[8]
