(10239) Hermann is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on October 10, 1981 in the Anderson Mesa station in the LONEOS project (search for near-earth objects). The period around the sun is 2,056.33 days.
The asteroid was named after Shawn M. Hermann (* 1975), one of the first observers in the LONEOS project. Between 1998 and 1999 he discovered two Apollo-type asteroids, one of the Cupid-type and a comet .
