(1351) Uzbekistania is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered in Simejis on October 5, 1934 by the Russian astronomer Grigory Nikolayevich Neuimin .
The asteroid is named after the former Soviet Republic of Uzbekistan , where the discoverer lived. The name was found posthumously in a handwritten note from the discoverer.
