(1423) Jose is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 28 August 1936 by the astronomer Joseph Hunaerts in Ukkel was discovered.
The name of the asteroid was chosen in memory of the young deceased daughter Giuseppina of the Italian astronomer Emilio Bianchi .
