(1477) Bonsdorffia is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 6 February 1938 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.

The name of the asteroid is reminiscent of the Finnish astronomer and founder of the Geodetic Institute of Finland, Toivo Ilmari Bonsdorff .
