(1652) Hergé is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on August 9, 1953 by the Belgian astronomer Sylvain Julien Victor Arend in Ukkel .
The name of the asteroid is derived from the stage name Hergé of the Belgian comic writer and illustrator Georges Prosper Remi .
