(1710) Gothard is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 20 October 1941 by the Hungarian astronomers György Kulin at Konkoly Observatory in Budapest was discovered.

The name of the asteroid is derived from the Hungarian amateur astronomer Jenõ Gothard .
