(17608) Terezín is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 12 October 1995 by Czech astronomer Miloš Tichý at Kleť Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 046).
The asteroid was named after the city of Terezín (German Theresienstadt) in Okres Litoměřice (Leitmeritz district) in the Czech Republic, which was made famous by the Theresienstadt concentration camp .
