(1844) Susilva is an asteroid of the main belt , which the Swiss astronomers on October 30, 1972 Paul Wild , from zimmerwald observatory of the University of Bern in was discovered.

The asteroid is named after Susi, a former schoolmate of the explorer from the forest .
