(1962) Dunant is an asteroid of the main belt , which the Swiss astronomers on November 24, 1973 Paul Wild , from zimmerwald observatory of the University of Bern was made, discovered.

The asteroid is named after the Swiss Henry Dunant , founder of the Red Cross .
