(2378) Pannekoek is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 13 February 1935 by Dutch astronomer Hendrik van Gent in Johannesburg was discovered.
The asteroid bears the name of the Dutch astronomer and Marxist theorist Anton Pannekoek .
