(2950) Rousseau is an asteroid of the main belt , which the Swiss astronomers on November 9, 1974 Paul Wild , from zimmerwald observatory of the University of Bern was made, discovered.

The asteroid is named after the French writer and philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712–1778).
