(3070) Aitken is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 4 April 1949 as part of the Indiana Asteroid Program at Goethe Link Observatory ( IAU code 760) in Brooklyn in the US state of Indiana was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the American astronomer Robert Grant Aitken (1864–1951).
