(4316) Babinkova is a main belt asteroid discovered on October 14, 1979 by Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory .
The asteroid was named after the astronomer couple Artur Nikolajewitsch Babin and Alexandra Nikolajewna Kowal .
