(4579) Puccini is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on January 11, 1989 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in Thuringia .
The timeless (non- osculating ) orbital elements of (4579) Puccini are almost identical to those of the smaller one, assuming the absolute brightness of 15.3 versus 14.3, asteroids (11000) 1978 VE 6 .
(4579) Puccini was by Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924), an Italian composer of the fin de siècle , named.
