(48639) 1995 TL 8 is a Trans-Neptunian object that was discovered by A. Gleason on October 15, 1995 . After one year later discovered Kuiper Belt Object (15874) 1996 TL 66 as Scattered disk object was classified (SDO), also in 1995 TL was 8 classified as SDO. It is one of the few objects with a perihelion greater than 40 AU. Its diameter is about 350 km.
1995 TL 8 has a natural satellite about 160 km in diameter. It is called S / 2002 (48639) 1 , was discovered on November 9, 2002 and published on October 5, 2005.
