(5609) Stroncone is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 22 March 1993 by the Italian Amateur Astronomers Antonio Vagnozzi at Santa Lucia Stroncone Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 589).
The celestial body was named after the place where it was discovered.
