(846) Lipperta is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on November 26, 1916 by the Swedish astronomer Walter Gyllenberg in Bergedorf .
The asteroid is named after the German businessman Eduard Lippert , who financially supported the Hamburg observatory .
