(984) Gretia is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 27 August 1922 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg State Observatory King chair of the University of Heidelberg was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the daughter-in-law of the German astronomer Albrecht Kahrstedt .
