Johannes Schöne

Johannes "Hans" Schöne (born April 23, 1920 in Oberhausen ; † August 3, 1989 in Babelsberg ) was a German football player.

Athletic career

Hans Schöne began his football career at the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven , where he played from 1932 to 1937. He then played for TSV Weißwasser (1937 to 1940), SV Gelb-Weiß Görlitz (1941), RSC Strasbourg (1942), SpVgg Breslau 02 (1942 to 1944) and SG Cottbus-Ost (1946 to 1950). In 1950 Schöne joined the BSG Rotation Babelsberg . In 1951 he was top scorer in the GDR Oberliga with 38 goals , a record that was not broken until the end of the league in 1991.

In total, Schöne played 228 league games and scored 119 goals. In 1954 he was on the field three times for the GDR national soccer team .

After his career as a soccer player, Hans Schöne worked as a trainer at ASG Vorwärts Potsdam (1957 to 1959), SC Potsdam (1960 to 1965) and Motor Babelsberg (1965 to 1979).
