Ängbyplan is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Södra Ängby district . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . It is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. 1,000 commuters get on here on a normal working day.
The station went into operation on October 26, 1952 when the Hötorget - Vällingby metro section was inaugurated. The platforms are above ground in an elevated position. The station is located between Åkeshov and Islandstorget stations . It is about eight kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
