The Ærøskøbing is a Danish RoRo ferry that has been operating between Ærøskøbing and Svendborg since November 1st, 1999 . The ship's home port is Ærøskøbing on Ærø .
history
She replaced the ship Ærøsund II , which had been in use up to that point . The ferry can carry up to 42 cars and 395 passengers. With a relaxation room, a cafeteria and a sun deck, the ship is furnished like the Marstal . The ship is also used to transport patients to Svendborg.
The ferry, owned by Ærøfærgerne A / S , operates six times a day on weekdays, with a crossing taking 75 minutes.
In spring 2011 Statens Kunstfond (German: State Art Fund) held a competition called "vores kunst" (our art). Here Ærøskøbing won a decoration award of 1.3 million crowns .
The ship runs with an artistic exterior painting.
