Éder , with full name Éder Citadin Martins (born November 15, 1986 in Lauro Müller ), is a Brazilian - Italian football player who is under contract with Jiangsu Suning .

Career

society

Éder began his career at Criciúma EC , for which he played in Série B until 2005 . In January 2006 he moved to FC Empoli in Serie A , where he was rarely used. For the second half of the 2007/08 season he was awarded to Frosinone Calcio for a year and a half . In the 2009/10 season he played again for FC Empoli, where he had a contract until 2012.

On April 13, 2010, Éder scored four goals within 21 minutes in the home game against Salernitana Calcio and thus led Empoli to a 5-2 win. In the 2009/10 season he was the top scorer in Serie B with 27 goals scored, and he scored eleven goals with a penalty .

On August 20, 2010 he was signed by Brescia Calcio , where he signed a five-year contract. In his second appearance in Serie A on September 12, 2010, he scored his first goal in the top division, Brescia won the home game against US Palermo 3-2. After half a year at AC Cesena , he moved to Sampdoria Genoa at the turn of the year 2011/12 .

After three and a half seasons at Sampdoria, in which Éder scored 40 goals in 112 games, he moved to Inter Milan on loan during the winter break of the 2015/16 season .

National team

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Italian squad . As a regular player, he played four of the five tournament games and only sat out in the insignificant last group game. In the second encounter between Italy and Sweden , he scored the 1-0 winner and was voted Man of the Match . In the quarterfinals, the team failed to Germany and eliminated.

Éder also played regularly under Gian Piero Ventura during World Cup qualification and was second in the group with Italy behind Spain . In the play-offs Italy failed to Sweden and missed the World Cup. Since then, Éder has not been taken into account.
