Winner of the actor's award, which from 1955 to 1975 chose the best actress of the year in a French film production. The set of rules protected against an actor being awarded more than once. The Étoile de Cristal is considered to be the forerunner of the 1976 César national film prize , which annually awards prizes in the categories of best leading actress ( Meilleure actrice ), supporting actress ( Meilleure actrice dans un second rôle ) and young actress ( Meilleur jeune espoir féminin ).
