Öömrang Ferian
The Öömrang Ferian if (German: Amrumer Verein e.V.) is a local and cultural association founded in 1974 on the North Sea island of Amrum with around 380 members (as of 2015). The aim of the association is to maintain the history and culture of Amrum, including the North Frisian dialect Öömrang ; since 1980 there has also been a natural history branch. The association that represents the since 1983 Nature Reserve Amrumer dunes and the landscape reserve Amrum . Together with the Wadden Sea Protection Station , Öömrang Ferian has also looked after part of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park since 2001 . In addition, the association operates a local history museum in Nebel , the Öömrang Hüs , as well as the natural history exhibition Maritur at Norddorfer Strandübergang. The nature center offers various types of guided tours.
