Ömer Ayçiçek , (born October 2, 1995 ) is a Turkish cross-country skier .

Career

Ayçiçek started in Gerede for the first time in the Balkan Cup in January 2015 and finished fifth in the 10 km freestyle and 10 km classic. At the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun , he took 108th place in the sprint. In February 2016 he ran at the U23 World Championships in Râșnov on 66th place in the sprint. At the Winter Universiade 2017 in Almaty he came 68th place over 10 km classic, 64th place in sprint and 61st place in pursuit and at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti on 96th place in Sprint. In December 2017 he ran in Davos for the first time in the World Cup and finished 112th in the sprint. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he finished 93rd in the 15 km freestyle, 77th in the sprint and 28th place together with Hamza Dursun in the team sprint. The following year he ran at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol on 80th place in the sprint and at the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk in the sprint and over 10 km classically on 61st place and 58th in the pursuit . In the 2019/20 season he achieved second and third place, third place in the overall ranking of the Balkan Cup.
