Hamza Dursun , (born February 11, 1994 ) is a Turkish cross-country skier .

Career

Dursun competed internationally for the first time in February 2011 at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Liberec and finished 77th place over 10 km classic, 69th place in sprint and 68th place over 7.5 km freestyle. In the following year, at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, he achieved 30th place in the sprint and 28th place over 10 km classic and at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Erzurum, 74th place in sprint, 65th place over 10 km classic and 19th place with the relay. At the Winter Universiade 2013 in Lago di Tesero , he ran 64th place in sprint, 62nd place in skiathlon and 58th place over 10 km freestyle and at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2014 in Fiemme Valley , 70th 1st place in the skiathlon and 67th place over 10 km classic. In January 2015, at the Winter Universiade in Štrbské Pleso, he came 47th in the sprint, 44th place over 10 km classic and 37th place in the 30 km mass start race. His best result at the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty was 29th place in the sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , he finished 89th in the sprint and 80th place over 15 km classic. In December 2017, he completed his first World Cup race in Davos and achieved 97th place in the sprint. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he ran 92nd place over 15 km freestyle, 71st place in the sprint and 28th place together with Ömer Ayçiçek in the team sprint. In the following year he ran at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tirol to 70th place in the sprint and 26th place together with Yusuf Emre Firat in the team sprint and at the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk to 33rd place over 10 km classic , placed 31st in the pursuit, placed 30th in the sprint. In the 2019/20 season he achieved second and two third places, fourth place in the overall ranking of the Balkan Cup.
