Ömer Yalçın (born August 7, 1983 in Kozan ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Yalçın started club football in the youth of Gaziantepspor . Here he received a professional contract in 2002, but continued to play half a season for the reserve team. In the spring, he and the transfer fee were given to the fourth division club in the city of Gaziantep , to Gaskispor . Here he established himself in two and a half years as one of the most successful strikers of the TFF 3rd Lig . From the 2005/06 season he played two seasons for the second division Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor . While he was only partially used from the start in the first season and booked 18 league games with three goals for himself, he increased his performance in the second season. Here he scored eight goals in 29 league games.

In the summer of 2007 he moved to the second division Eskişehirspor . With this team he rose in summer 2008 as the play-off winner of the TFF 1st Lig in the Süper Lig . After half a year in the Süper Lig he spent the second half of the 2008/09 season at the second division Diyarbakırspor . Here you reached the runner-up of the 1st Lig at the end of the season and thus promotion to the Süper Lig. For the 2009/10 season he was loaned to the second division Boluspor .

In 2010 he dissolved his contract with Eskişehirspor and moved to the second division side Kayseri Erciyesspor . For this team he only played the first half of the season and spent the second half of the season at third division Konya Şekerspor . For the next season he was hired by league rivals Altay Izmir .

For the summer of 2012 he was loaned to the second division Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor.
