The Austrian Women's Volleyball Cup was played for the 37th time by the Austrian Volleyball Association in the 2016/17 season and began on October 6, 2016 with the first round and ended on February 12, 2017 with the final. The trophy went to the UVC Graz .

Participating teams

For the Austrian Volleyball Cup, based on the participation of the leagues of the 2016/17 season, the following 28 teams, which after the season placement of the 1st Bundesliga 2015/16 , the 2nd Bundesliga East 2015/16 , 2nd Bundesliga South 2015/16 and the 2nd Bundesliga West 2015/16 are qualified. Teams that are marked as crossed out did not take part in the competition for various reasons or are the first teams and therefore did not play for the cup. The state cup winners, state champions or their representatives from the 2015/16 season could also take part.
