The club was founded in 1981 and is a member of the Carinthian Volleyball Association . The home games are played in the Klagenfurt Sport Park, the club colors are red and blue.

The Klagenfurt volleyball club was founded in 1981 in Volksheim Waidmannsdorf in Klagenfurt as HYPO VBK by Karin Frühbauer, Herbert Huber, Christof Gruber and Johann Huber and played its games as the ASKÖ Volleyball Club Klagenfurt , the main sponsor, the Kärntner Landes- und Hypotheken Bank AG can be won at the foundation.
