The Östersund Arena is a multi-purpose hall in the Swedish town of Ostersund , province County of Jämtland . The arena is located in the northwest of the city in the immediate vicinity of the Östersunds skidstadion and the Jämtkraft Arena .
The ice hockey club Östersunds IK from the Hockeyettan , the third highest Swedish league, plays its home games in the hall. The hall was opened in December 2013 and can accommodate up to 3000 spectators. The arena serves as a replacement for the Z-halls , in which Östersunds IK previously played its home games.
The Östersund Arena includes two ice hockey rinks, a gym , a restaurant and an outdoor ice rink and is therefore also used for curling , hockey , figure skating , gymnastics and bandy .
