Özden terli (* 1971 in Cologne ) is a German meteorologist and weather - Moderator in ZDF .

Professional career

In the years 1988 to 1992 Özden Terli completed vocational training as a telecommunications system - electronics technician and later made up his Abitur with a focus on physics / philosophy at the Cologne College on the second educational path . Terli then studied meteorology with a minor in astrophysics at the Free University of Berlin . In his diploma thesis, which he wrote at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) for polar and marine research, Terli dealt with the topic of "Atmospheric transport of Saharan dust across the Atlantic - Lidar observations on board the research vessel Polarstern ". For this purpose, a new type of lidar device (ComCAL) was built in several months.

From 2004 to 2013 Terli worked initially during his studies, later full-time, at wetter.com and ProSiebenSat.1 as a weather editor and moved to ZDF in 2013. Since then he has been presenting the weather there on the news programs ZDF-Morgenmagazin , ZDF-Mittagsmagazin , heute und heute-journal ; He can also be seen as a weather expert in other current programs such as turntable or hello germany .
