Ümit Teke (born December 25, 1980 in Çaykara ) is a Turkish football player.

Career

Teke started his professional career at Akçaabat Sebatspor. After playing one season for the third division team, he moved to provincial and league rivals Trabzon Telekomspor . He only played three months for Telekomspor and then moved to Gümüşhane Doğanspor within the 3rd Futbol Ligi . With Doğanspor he finished the season as the master of the 3rd Futbol Ligi and rose to the 2nd Futbol Ligi . Although Teke contributed eight goals in 21 league games to this success, Teke moved to Istanbul club Sarıyer SK . He played for the Istanbul team for the next five and a half seasons. During this time Teke was one of the most important performers of his club and rose with his team as champions of the third division season 2003/04 in the 2nd Futbol Ligi A CATEGORY .

After Teke had spent the second half of the 2005/06 season with Kartalspor at another Istanbul club, he moved to Giresunspor in the summer of 2006 . With this club Teke was playoff winner and rose for the third time in his career in the second highest Turkish league. Teke contributed 19 league goals to this success and was the most successful goalscorer of his team. After this success, Teke played one more season for Giresunspor and then moved to Istanbul third division club Gaziosmanpaşaspor .

In the spring of 2010, Teke left the Istanbul team and switched to Elazığspor . For this club he played the next one and a half seasons and reached the third division championship of the 2010/11 season.

After returning to Gaziosmanpaşaspor in the summer of 2011, Teke moved to Giresunspor for the 2012/13 season. With this club he finished the 2013/14 season as a champion of the TFF 2nd Lig and rose to the TFF 1st Lig . Teke did not play a single competitive game in the championship season.

In the summer of 2014 he moved to the Istanbul club Bayrampaşaspor .
